Stupendous Delhi hotels to stay in

Hotels in Delhi
For a delightful stay in Delhi, I always go for the hotels that are close to the city center or the railway station. And this time I went for one of the hotels near Delhi railway station, and I can honestly say it was an experience in itself. Although the hotel, Hotel Delhi City Center, was right in the middle of the action, the aura of it was a quiet and tranquil one. It was decorated tastefully, and had a huge array of staff who seemed quite pleased to sway to the requests of the guests. One of the young men accompanied me and the porter to my room, and it wasn’t even necessary. It was just polite of him I guess, but what hospitality! Lovely training these people must have gotten! Hats off to them!

I will make sure that I recommend this lovely piece of property to all my friends and colleagues that might find themselves in this capital, with no place to stay. The rates too were quite amiable, and I didn’t burn a hole in my pocket paying for my 5 nights stay. Of all the Delhi hotels that I have stayed at, this was probably the most fun I ever had. The stay at Hotel Delhi City Center was replete with good memories, and whenever I go back to the city, I will make sure that I book my stay with them. I might even return with my family for a fun vacation.

The first image that strikes in the minds of people upon mentioning India is the Taj Mahal - the epitome of love. Located to the North of this 7th World Wonder is Delhi, the capital of India. Often in the news for several modern architectural marvels, Delhi is one of the fastest growing metros in the world today. Housing the parliament for the largest democracy, Delhi is strategically situated in Northern part of the Indian sub-continent, and is famous for housing large multi-national conglomerates. Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple and Akshardham Temple ring a bell for tourists. Being the capital, the city has it all, from Fortune 500 MNCs to cheap and delicious food.

Delhi witnesses a lot of movement due to its regal status, it is the epicenter of development, and several satellite towns have emerged around it. Subsequently, the need to accommodate people who travel to this metro for business and pleasure has become essential. There is no dearth of budget hotels in Delhi, for tourists seeking accommodation on a shoestring. Better than most budget accommodations in Delhi

delhi hotels near railway station
When travelling to any city for a day or two, most people are prone to put up in budget hotels. Makes sense also- I always maintain that unless you're staying anywhere for a minimum of 3 nights, there's really no point in spending a lot.

So when I was planning a trip to Delhi, I was looking for hotels near Delhi railway station since time was of the essence - there were a lot of things I had to do and not as much time as I would have liked.

I settled on Hotel Delhi City Centre because of its proximity to the railway station and its reviews on TripAdvisor as one of the best budget accommodations in Delhi.

I was not disappointed. It's actually one of the few hotels in which the staff makes sure all your whims are catered to- I for one was impressed by their service standards.

Rooms are good and point to note - their rooftop restaurant is simply amazing. Delhi looks beautiful bathed in the moonlight and I'm glad I got to see the wonderful view while dining on their rooftop.

One great thing- they've got free Wi-Fi which is perfect for me, since I always need to be connected!

I had a wonderful experience and I will be back here for another such experience!
